HOW TO FIND THE RIGHT COLLEGE
Choosing what to do after high school is usually the first big decision in a young person's life. Don't wait until the fall of your senior year to decide where you will apply; it can lead to distress and anxiety. By using CaliforniaColleges.org or California Career Zone.org or other college research tools you should generate a broad list of 10 - 15 colleges to research in depth. At the end of your college search you should come up with a list of 8-10 colleges to apply to. Ask your Guidance Counselor or Career Center for a list of priorities that might be able to help you! Students will be creating a list of colleges during Advisory in the spring of their Junior year using EDUHSD.CACareerZone.org
Select "dream" school(s) which may be a reach for you, include a few "target" schools where you stand a greater chance of acceptance, and at least one "safety" school where you know you would likely be admitted, and you would enjoy attending.
